While other cash for gold dealers, roadshows and mail-in services offer only pennies on the dollar for your gold jewelry, Canada Gold Buyer’s is proud to offer among the most cash for gold in Canada. Browse through the different types of gold jewelry we buy and find your nearest Canada Gold Buyer’s location.

Gold Rings
Men’s and women’s gold rings are usually high in value, as many rings–particularly men’s gold rings–are fairly heavy and often consist of 14 karats or higher.
14k gold is the most popular purities of gold available. Most gold jewelry is stamped with its purity, also known as ‘karats’. A karat is one part per 24, so 14 karats is 14 parts gold and 10 parts other metals. A typical European stamp on 14k gold might read 585, meaning 585 parts of gold per 1000, or 58.5% gold. Check if your jewelry is stamped with either: 14k, 14kp (meaning 14 karat plumb), 585 or even 583.

You can sell your white, rose or yellow gold rings at any Canada Gold Buyer’s location. If you are selling a gold ring with a diamond it is best to visit our location where our GIA certified gemologist will accurately grade and evaluate your diamond (learn more about selling your diamonds). Gold rings set with gemstones (non-diamonds) can also be sold, however we will subtract the weight of the gemstone (and return the gemstone to you if you wish to keep it).

Gold Earrings
Gold jewelry earrings are commonly sold to us because they are easily damaged, or if one is lost, there is little use for the other. Gold is a heavy and dense material, so gold earrings are often small or hollow to make them lighter and more comfortable to wear. But that doesn’t mean they’re not valuable! And because Canada Gold Buyer’s offers industry leading payouts per gram for gold earrings, so you could walk away with more money in your pocket than you expected!

Gold Necklaces
Canada Gold Buyers purchase’s white, yellow and rose gold necklaces ranging from 8k, 9k and 10k all the way through 14k gold and 18k gold. Gold necklaces and pendants are valued based on their weight and purity.
It is rare to find gold necklaces of a higher purity, as it is extremely soft and impractical unless fabricated with large thick links.

Gold Bracelets
Canada Gold Buyer’s purchases Lighter tennis bracelets and small chains are often made from 10k or 14k gold, while heavier gold bracelets, bangles, and East Indian gold bracelets usually come in purities of 18k, 19k or even 22k gold.
Some Chinese gold bracelets are made from pure 24k gold, and are usually stamped with a 999. However gold becomes very soft as it increases in purity, so pure gold bangles and bracelets, and even 22k gold are less common because they bend very easily.

Gold Chains
Canada Gold Buyers purchase’s Men’s and women’s gold chains are often high in value due to their weight. Some men’s gold chains can weigh 200 grams or more, and while they are usually lower purities of gold (such as 9k, 10k or 14k), their weight can mean that a single chain could be worth thousands of dollars.
Large heavy chains aren’t as fashionable as they used to be, so cashing in your unwanted gold chains makes more sense than letting them collect dust!

Class Rings
Canada Gold Buyers purchase’s high school, college and university graduation rings have decreased in popularity over the years. Like gold chains, class rings are usually lower purities of gold such as 9k, 10k or 14k gold, however their weight does add up. You could potentially have hundreds of dollars waiting for you and not know it.
The gemstones found in class rings are usually common coloured gems that don’t have much market value. We typically remove gemstones or deduct their weight before purchasing your ring.

Jewelry with Gemstones or Diamonds
You can sell gold jewelry at any Canada Gold Buyers location, even if it is set with gemstones. We can’t buy most gemstones, but we can determine their weight and evaluate the gold content alone. If you wish to keep your gemstone and just sell the gold, let the buyer know and they’ll do their best to remove the gemstone without damaging it.
If your gold jewelry is set with diamonds, we can leave them in without deducting any weight. If the diamonds are 0.25 ct or more, we can book you in to see our GIA certified gemologist at the Toronto location to make you an offer to buy your diamond as well.
